Crime Victim Response After Mass Violence and/or Terrorism Series Planning Sessions Flyer

The Kansas Governor’s Grants Program has partnered with the U.S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center (OVC TTAC) to bring training and technical assistance to Kansas, focused on crime victim response after mass violence and/or terrorism. The OVC TTAC worked in coordination with the Office of Justice for Victims of Overseas Terrorism and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Office for Victim Assistance to create the Mass Violence and Terrorism Toolkit to help establish crime victim assistance protocols, bring key partners together to review existing emergency plans, and to initiate or continue community development plans already in place. This Toolkit will be the basis for the training and technical assistance provided in Kansas. Two consecutive virtual training sessions have been scheduled and are open to all communities in Kansas. Please see the attached flier for more information and to register. Victim service providers, law enforcement, healthcare, non-profit organizations, county/city emergency managers, and others are strongly encouraged to attend this training series.
