Featured Presentation: A Forward Look at LAVTR for Kansas Counties

This presentation will provide a look at Local Ad Valorem Tax Reduction (LAVTR) - past, present, and future - for Kansas County government. The past will provide a look back at when LAVTR was created, how long it was funded, and why it is no longer in use. The present will shed light on the current movement forward to restore LAVTR, and the near future will showcase the LAVTR toolkit that KAC has created to assist you in talking with and educating your staff, and external audiences, such as legislators, media, and the public on the value and importance of LAVTR funding for Kansas County government and for your constituents.

Presented by: Bruce Chladny, KAC Executive Director and Jay Hall, KAC Deputy Director and General Counsel
